REPLICAM
An iPhone app that captures objects and rooms in 3D. The heavy lifting happens on my own Mac — no subscription, no cloud — and the finished model is back on the phone, ready to look at and ready to print.

What sets it apart
- No subscription, own hardwareNo licence, no account, no rented cloud time — the iPhone takes the pictures, my own Mac computes the model.
- Nothing leaves the housePhotos, models and image recognition stay on iPhone and Mac. Only the search terms of a part search go out.
- Detail you can seePhotogrammetry at the highest detail level, textures up to 16K with full material maps, LiDAR depth for real-world scale.
- Three ways to scan, with coachingObject, turntable or room — it checks sharpness and light and shows a coverage map of the angles still missing.
- Print-ready, fixable afterwardsSet the scale from one known length, trim the base, rotate: the Mac recomputes, and the STL comes out watertight, in millimetres, with a flat base.
- Find it before you scan itPhotograph a part or its part number: IVY recognises it on my own hardware, then opens a targeted search in the big archives of printable models.
At a glance
The iPhone shoots, my own Mac reconstructs, and the model comes back to the phone to view in AR or send to the printer. Capture photos are deleted automatically once the model has arrived intact; the Mac keeps the raw data for three days for re-processing. Away from home, phone and Mac stay connected over a private, end-to-end encrypted link.
